Shafique Dawood is a 18 year technology veteran who received his Bachelor of Computing and Masters of Technology from the National University of Singapore. He is a United Nations scholar who is forward thinking and is a subject matter expert in Cyber Security for Banks, National Security and Intelligence having worked with companies such as BAE Systems and many government agencies throughout Asia Pacific and Japan.
Shafique is committed to educating the next generation of technologists in both the areas of Cyber Security, National Security and Intelligence in Threat Hunting, along with Digital Transformation in Banking. He embraces forward-thinking and mission-critical oriented applications that will serve in the next generation of Cyber Security on all levels ranging from a National Security mid-space level of protection, Counter Terrorism Financing to Threat Hunting in Financial institutions that include cryptocurrency. He is a UN scholar and his personal interests range from inter-Aseanic regulatory frameworks and seeking to improve bilateral cooperation between nations and reducing friction whilst seeking a consortium based approach to FinTech, regulation, compliance and banking as a whole. He is consulted by many global banks and universities on matters of Digital Transformation and now heads APAC for Group IB. |
