Welcome
Background
Last year, the 13th National Fraud Conference challenged anti-fraud professionals to look forward — to sharpen their skills, embrace emerging tools, and prepare the next generation of fraud examiners to meet an evolving threat environment. It was a call to build capability: to upgrade skills, deepen expertise, and pass on the knowledge that defines our profession.
That conversation was necessary. But it was only half the story.
Because skills without courage are incomplete. A fraud examiner can master data analytics, understand the latest AI-driven detection tools, and mentor the sharpest young professionals in the field — and still fail at the most critical moment, when the findings are uncomfortable, when the subject is powerful, and when silence feels like the safer choice.
The 14th National Fraud Conference picks up precisely where last year’s conference left off. This year, under the theme “Moral Courage,” ACFE Philippines turns the lens inward, from what we know to who we are.

About the Conference
The next generation of fraud examiners that we committed to developing last year will inherit a profession that demands more than technical excellence. They will face public and institutional pressure, cultural expectations of silence, and complex loyalty conflicts that no certification exam can fully prepare them for. What they will need, more than any tool or technique, is the example of professionals who chose integrity when it was costly. That is the legacy this conference challenges all of us to build.
For two days, attendees will hear from leaders who have exercised moral courage in high-stakes investigations, explore frameworks for navigating ethical dilemmas, examine the cultural and organizational barriers that suppress dissent, and discuss how to embed speak-up cultures in institutions where fraud risk is highest. Sessions will earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits and are designed for anti-fraud advocates at every stage of their career.
Fraud thrives not only where controls are absent, but where courageous people are silent.
